Cafe 67 came to life in November 2005, when owner Brenda Asaro found the perfect location after an extensive search throughout the county. Together with her inner circle of business friends, they designed, built and marketed the restaurant with a “Movie Theme” in the main dining room complete with many props and items from vintage and classic movies. The banquet room sports a “Hot Rod Racing Theme” from days gone by.

Located at the end of Highway 67 on the southwest corner of Mapleview Street in Lakeside (at the traffic signal), Cafe 67 is well known for all its famous food, quick and friendly service, unique movie decor and its convenient location. It’s easy to spot; just look for the large Cafe 67 Movie Marquee created by Lyle Fisk of Hot Rodders fame on the corner.

Brenda offers some of the best home-style cooking in and around San Diego County. There is quite a variety of deliciousness to satisfy everyone in the family. For breakfast, one of Cafe 67’s favorites is the “Any Way Omelette” which allows you to choose from a long list of ingredients and comes served on a large platter with your choice of side and toast.  A favorite pick for lunch is the “Gambler’s Burger” which has just about everything on it but the kitchen sink. It is served on a huge platter with plenty of fries.  The sandwiches and salads are delectable and the pasta meals are such that even your Italian grandmother would love them. We offer a separate children’s menu for those under 12 full of their own yummy choices. All menu items are also available for To-Go orders.

If you’re looking for great food to serve at your party or function and/or a place to hold your gathering, Cafe 67 offers catering and banquet services. You may choose items from the breakfast, lunch or deli menu to create a scrumptious feast to feed the masses. The banquet room is available for business meetings, club gatherings or private parties.

The restaurant is open 6:00 am to 3:00 pm and offers its full menu to customers from open to close. Come extremely hungry to Cafe 67 because the portions in this restaurant are huge and the people are friendly.  Doggie Boxes are an everyday happening at this cafe. Cafe 67 is open seven days a week, except major holidays. 

Brenda’s background comes with over twenty-five years of experience in the restaurant business.  Many know her as one of the original owners of the Antique Row Cafe in El Cajon which she out grew in size within two years.  In Cafe 67 Brenda found what she considers is the perfect size eatery to keep the quality in her food at the top, and with a speed of service that remains friendly to all her customers.  Eat at Cafe 67 just once and we know that you’ll agree!
